Introduction

    The differential slip ring is main part for differential shaft. Differential shaft, also known as slip shaft or friction shaft, is used as the winding shaft and special rewinding shaft for slitting machine. The purpose is to use the slipping on each differential ring on the shaft to make multiple constant tension rolls on the shaft.

    The differential shaft is composed of a plurality of differential rings, and the friction torque of the differential ring is controlled by the air pressure, so that the tension of the inner roll to the outer roll will be constant. The shaft can make a neat ends, and the material tension is constant.

Principle

• The differential shaft is a type of shaft with tension adjustment. The differential ring on it can slip independently .Controlled by the tension system, there will be friction torque between the friction parts and the slip ring, and realize constant tension coiling.
• The differential shaft can meet the requirements of high-speed, error in material thickness, multi-stage tension control, high precision requirement on tension control, ,uniformity on the winding end.
• The differential shaft can be divided into two types: pneumatic locking type and mechanical locking type. Most machine now use pneumatic locking type, then the differential shaft called air differential shaft.

Component (Differential shaft)

Core shaft: the shaft hold the differential slip ring and usually made of harden steel material.

Differential slip ring: main part for differential shaft, can slip independently and has friction torque.

Rubber tube: controlled by automatic tension system and creat friction torque.

Friction parts: made of felt pad, protect the rubber tube and the differential slip ring.

Sealing rings: Between the differential slip ring, usually made of steel or nylon.
